2022 DFV Petit Verdot
The nose is reminiscent of walking along the brambles alongside the uvas creek. Dried berries, leather, forest floor are all complemented by vanilla and blueberries. The palate is tart cherries and cocoa powder as well as the aforementioned blueberries

Wine Profile
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand-harvested in October and given a cold soak for three days. After primary fermentation, the wine was pressed and settled in tank for 2 days before being racked to French oak barrels for aging. Elevage consisted of 20 months of aging in barrel with 33% new French oak.
Food Pairing Notes
This wine has the tannin and acid to stand up to grilled and fatty meats such as ribeye steak a poivre or braised oxtails. It would also be a lovely foil for richer cheeses such as camembert or Roquefort.
