Vineyard Notes
Malbec sourced from our estate vineyards in the Santa Clara AVA located in the Central Coast. Clone 9 on rootstock SO4, planted originally in 1990 and grafted over to Mourvedre in 1996
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand harvested in September and allowed to cold soak for 2 days. After primary fermentation, the wine was pressed and settled in tank before being racked to french oak barrels for aging. This wine was aged for 20 months in 40% new french oak barrels.
