2020 DFV Malbec
Sweet baking spices, graphite, milk chocolate, aromas of blackberries and blueberries. On the palate this wine is medium bodied, with soft powdery tannins with flavors of wild berries, eucalyptus and cured meats.

Vineyard Notes
Malbec sourced from our estate vineyards in the Santa Clara AVA located in the Central Coast. Clone 9 on rootstock SO4, planted originally in 1990 and grafted over to Mourvedre in 1996.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand harvested on October 8, 2020 and allowed to cold soak for 3 days. Primary fermentation lasted 14 days. This wine was aged for 17 months in 30% new french oak barrels
